Toolbox of Digital Tools

About our Toolbox

The Toolbox of Recommended Digital Tools is a practical resource for educators looking to integrate ethical AI considerations into their teaching. Developed by ACEEU, this collection includes 15 carefully selected digital tools—ranging from task planners to interactive feedback platforms—all of which feature AI in some capacity.

Each tool in the Toolbox is rated for ethical alignment using a custom-built ethics meter and comes with guidance on accessibility, instructions for use, and links to external tutorials. Tools are grouped into five categories: Inclusion & Accessibility, Interactive Participation, Lesson Planning, Feedback & Grading, and Engineering Coursework.

This Toolbox supports a wide variety of teaching formats (in-person, online, and hybrid), and is particularly helpful for engineering educators aiming to incorporate discussions around fairness, accountability, and societal impact into their courses.
