Welcome to our Ethical AI Education project, a project designed to integrate the teaching of ethical considerations related to AI into engineering faculties at higher education institutions. Our aim is to utilise innovative pedagogical approaches to equip current and future engineering students with the knowledge and skills to harness AI for goals that promote European economic growth while upholding our values and trust.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a set of technologies that harness data, algorithms, and computing power to create systems capable of sensing, processing, and solving complex problems. In 2023, AI is a critical driver of economic development and an area of strategic importance. To ensure the responsible development of AI, the European Digital Strategy has identified the creation of "ethical, secure, and cutting-edge AI made in Europe" as a key component.
Includes case studies and starter kits to teach engineering students about the ethical implications of their work.
A set of flexible open education resources based on real-world case studies that lecturers can use to teach AI & Robotics Ethics in their programs.
An interdisciplinary approach to teaching ethical considerations in AI and robotics to students that will be systematised in a guide for other institutions to replicate.
